LFSD offers a professional well-rounded preschool, elementary, AND USA GYMNASTICS PROGRAM - Levels 1-8 and Excel for ages 3 -18.
We uphold our reputation for high standards in education. For 30 years, LFSD has served the community with professional dance education and are proud to once again offer gymnastics since fall 2016. We are excited for both our recreational and Junior Olympic USA GYMNASTIC programs.
All dance programs offer tumbling along with dance classes as well as acrobatics**- the art of beautiful tumbling & tricks for dance choreography.

INSTRUCTORS & COACHES
Our Preschool and elementary instructors are USA GYMNASTICS Safety Certified, and Preschool and Elementary Certified through Patti Komara Training. In addition, they have attended professional coaching workshops and hands on training through USA Gymnastics coaches. Our Level 3-4 Coaches are Safety Certified and USAG Level Certified. Our staff has 50 years of combined professional teaching experience with children, and will be teaching a curriculum with skill testing and progress awards for your child.
LFSD offers gymnastics classes for boys and girls ages 3-18!
Gymnastics is a confidence-building sport that improves strength, flexibility, agility, and coordination. It’s a great activity for developing skills for all other sports. Your child will participate on bars, beam, vault, tumbling, trampoline, and Air Track.
All classes are divided based upon ability. Coaches will evaluate and test your child if he/she has taken gymnastics from another school to properly place them to progress safely and correctly.
DANCE - Unique to our program! - all students level 3 and up are given the opportunity to include dance into their training. This is a huge benefit for the gymnast to develop grace and beautiful lines in all areas of gymnastics - especially beam and floor!

Children start with a warm up song and perform fun movement doing Braindance. (Braindance increases brain integration.) TumbleBears are introduced to skills such as tuck, pike, straddle, squat and lunge. They will jump, swing and hang! They will have fun learning on on the fitness wheel, beams, bars and more. They will also work on skills such as L’s, handstands, pre-cartwheels and forward and backward rolls. They will be kept moving, strengthening mind and body while learning how to work in a group and stand in line - developing patience, listening and social skills. They will improve their fine and gross motor skills, including hand-eye coordination to improve reading and math readiness, all while learning gymnastics.

Children start with a warm up song doing brain dance (which increases brain integration) and work on basic gymnastic positions such as tuck, pike, straddle, squat and lunge. The class is designed for development of gymnastics, which includes bars, balance beam, tumbling, vault skills, and Air Trak. They will also work on skills such as L’s, handstands, cartwheels, and forward and backward rolls. The children will learn how to work well with others and improve their fine and gross motor skills, including hand-eye coordination while doing many skills to develop and improve reading readiness, all while learning gymnastics.

LFSD School-Age Star Achievement Award Program – Ages 5,6 - 11 Years.
LFSD offers The Star Achievement Awards Program for our School-Age gymnastics students. When your child moves up to the next level they will receive an achievement award.
Beginner Gymnastics – Level 1 & 2 (55 min. - Choose 1 or 2x Weekly)
Pre-Qualifications: Must be 6 and up!
This exciting beginning to your child’s gymnastics career starts with among other skills: rolls, cartwheels, splits and other flexibility exercises, round-offs on floor and mounts, dismounts, and casting on the uneven bars. They will learn walks, mounts, and dismounts on beam along with turns and jumps on the trampoline. These students will have the opportunity for fun meets!
Gymnastics - Level 3 (1.5 hours - 1 or 2x Weekly)
DANCE CLASS REQUIRED!
Pre-Qualifications: Must be 6 and up - Coaches test to make sure skills are mastered from levels 1 and 2.

Students will learn skills like round-offs, walk overs, ariels, back handsprings, back hip circles and much more. Continued work to build strength, flexibility and control. These students will have the opportunity to compete in Excel or J.O Meets.
Gymnastics- Level 4 (2 hours or 3 hours - 1 or 2x Weekly)
Required Attendance based upon students level and choice of training whether recreational
(Excel) or Junior Olympic Level. Discussed with Coach at registration.
Pre-Qualifications: Must be 6 and up! Coaches test to make sure skills are mastered from level 3.

This is our most advanced class and gymnasts will continue developing their skills beyond level 3! Gymnasts will continue developing focus, strength, flexibility and body control. Advanced tumbling skills on vault, beam, barres, and floor are required. These students will have the opportunity to continue competing in Excel or J.O Meets.
ATTIRE
- Girls must wear a leotard with no skirt attached to it and no tights. Shorts with elastic waist may be worn over leotard.
- Boys must wear shorts with elastic waste and t-shirt tucked in.
- All gymnasts are required to have gymnastic shoes.
TUITION & FEES
Yearly registration fee for all gymnasts is $25.00. Maximum family registration is $50 per year. Registration fees for military families are waived.
- ALL FEES ARE BILLED MONTHLY AND DUE BY THE FIRST OF THE MONTH.
- TUITION IS CONSIDERED LATE AFTER THE 5TH OF EACH MONTH AND WILL BE CHARGED $25 LATE FEE.
